Days of Quarantine

Hello, World!

How is everyone's quarantine going?

I know one thing, I am ready for NORMAL again. I want to go out and sell my Avon! And, I want time to pass by faster at work.

I mean, where is the challenge anymore? All I do is twiddle my thumbs at work. Everything that can be cleaned is cleaned. All we do is sit around waiting for customers to call...and on Graveyard that isn't happening much.

I sure hope things get back to normal soon.

I had a customer call me the other day after I delivered her order to her. She said, "Did you say Avon was going to start selling household cleaning supplies?"

I said, "Yes, Ma'am! We have de-greaser, all-purpose cleaner, dryer sheets and laundry detergent sheets. We will be getting more as we progress."

She went on to explain how she was unable to get simple things at the grocery store, due to everyone hoarding supplies. She asked me to order it for her.

"All of it?" I asked. "Are you sure you want to do that? It's going to be about a month before all this is available. We'll probably be back to normal by then..."

She assured me she didn't want to chance it. LOL

I'm selling stuff we haven't even got yet! LOL

I've started updating my personal web site lately with all I am doing online. Plus, I decided I needed a central place to put all my bookmarks, and since I've been wondering what I should do with my web site since I have all my blogs...I figure I could use it as a doorway to all my stuff.

You can visit my website by clicking HERE

NO, FACEBOOK is not a web site. FACEBOOK is a blog. Facebook is run by people who tell you what you are allowed to post and only show what they want you to see. Just clarifying that for those of you who wonder why I would need another web site. You see, at my website, no one can tell me what I am allowed to post. It is MINE to do with what I want to. And, everything I post gets seen by those who really are interested enough to visit.

So, ya'll come see me!

Hope you all had a great Easter!

I keep looking for my stimulus check to arrive any day now...

Have a blessed day!

Today's a New Day

Hello, World.

Just getting my day started.

Yesterday, I canned my first pear preserves and they turned out awesome! So, I thought I would try my hand at some pepper jelly.

When I got done, it tasted great, but it was WAY too hot. I think I used too many peppers. So, I only have one jar of those, and the rest of the peppers, I am going to cut up and throw in the freezer.

I am out of jars. So, I'm prepping the oranges today and throwing them in the freezer for later as well, the carrots, too.

I have learned that if I work too hard on my web site, I make less money. So, I'm not going to try so hard from now on. I'm only doing what I have time to accomplish. But, I am not neglecting it. I have plenty of time, I just won't feel as rushed.

Playing the stock market is a challenge. I have lost more than I have gained. But, I have also LEARNED. It's a very strategic game you play with that, with real consequences, so I have to be careful. But, it's also fun.

I use the E-trade website. And, what I have learned is that commissions you pay when you buy stocks are what costs you the most. The only one really making money right now is the bank. LOL. But, I have also learned that it takes a LOT of patience and playing by the rules, and on a good day, there is money to be made. I have also learned that you have to have money in order to make money on Wall Street.

I have also learned that sometimes you just got to cut your losses.

Well, other than waiting for my new job to call me in, telling me I passed the background check, that's it for today's projects -- other than cleaning house, which is a never ending job (especially when you live with two bachelors, LOL)

Have a blessed day!

New Project on The Internet

I recently opened a new web site at ThePonderNews.com. It's been hard getting it up and running good.

I've been working on my website non-stop since it opened on October 31. I've made sure I paid mind to the SEOs, the back links, made sure all the links were working. I have a google + account, Twitter account, Facebook accounts, Pinterest account, I'm on several messageboards...

I have two email lists.

I am listed on Google. I use Adsense, LinkXChange, Clickbank, Commission Junction for advertising,

I send out Shout-outs when relevant.

But, I need more visibility on the internet because the site just isn't growing as fast as the blog is for some reason. So, I went looking for some free "get listed" search engines this morning.

I received a call from a marketing specialist. She went down the list for me of things she could help me with. I told her I already had all that covered. Don't know what else I could do except get listed in more search engines. She was offering all her help with the check list and getting listed in more search engines for $59/month.

Whoah there horsey! My site(s) have only brought in $37.00 in 3 years of working all of them. $59/month is a bit steep for something that isn't guaranteed -- especially when I have done all the work in the checklist already except the getting listed part -- which will happen anyway over time.

I told her I will wait another year and see if it grows any more first. She said she'd check back with me in a month.

Sigh...

LOL

I've been trying to figure out how my Stuff Gazette site and God Inspires site are getting so many hits. I finally figured it out.

Remember a year or so ago when I was doing a lot of "get paid to click" sites? I earned a lot of advertising points with them that I'd forgotten about. LOL...some of the ads are still running.

Might need to look back into GPTRs again. They were time consuming, but worth it!

When will I ever find the time, though?
