I'm gonna raise him up...

Today is Easter Sunday. On Easter, I reflect back on the life of Jesus, who He was, and how He became that way. But, not enough is said about Joseph, the man who raised him.

Joseph was a daddy to Jesus that he didn't have to be. He had faith in God in spite of all those around him who would have walked away and left Mary to an uncertain and terrible fate, not to mention what would have happened to the baby she was carrying. Joseph chose to take on a responsibility that would prove to be a gift to the world.

As a young child, I had one such man who came into my life. I saw this man work until his back ached to make sure we had a roof over our heads. I watched him go out and search the woods at times so we could have meat on the table when we couldn't afford it. I saw this man, over and over, choose the right roads rather than the easy ones in order to teach us integrity, honesty, and how to mind our conscience. And, once, when I asked him if we were rich, he told me, "We are rich -- in love."

I knew my real dad, but my step-dad was there when he didn't have to be.

I wasn't a son, but it didn't matter. I don't know if I'll ever change the world. I do, however, try to change the world around me -- because of him. And, because of him, I can relate to Jesus. More importantly, I know HE can relate to me.

Smoked Turkey for Easter, Courtesy of Jesus

Mom called me today. She informed me about that Big Ol' Turkey that Jesus gave me for Christmas (remember when he "knocked on my door"?)

Mom said Benny finally put it in the smoker. We're having Smoked Turkey tomorrow for Easter Dinner. She told me to invite Dallas Corina Switzer. So, I did.

Can't wait to see if there are any chocolate Bunnies sneaking around for me to eat...

Maybe I'll sneak one from Mylee's basket...LOL

Happy Easter, World!

(And remember the reason for the season -- it ain't Bunny Rabbits and Easter Eggs).

Ephesians 4:
6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

SUPREME COURT: STATES CANNOT PREVENT ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM VOTING IN U.S. ELECTIONS

In a stunning ruling, the Supreme Court of the United States struck down an Arizona law requiring voters to present citizenship proof to register in state and federal elections.

The law clears the way to illegal alien undocumented immigrants voting in national elections without substantive means of preventing it for many states. The highest court in the land ruled 7-2 that federal law “precludes Arizona from requiring a federal form applicant to submit information beyond that required by the form itself,” as Justice Scalia wrote. Professor Tom Caso of the Chapman University School of Law in California told the Associated Press that the decision “opened the door” to noncitizen voting.

Read more about this at TruthandAction.org by clicking HERE

This is so wrong on so many fronts it is not even funny. If we allow non-citizens to vote, it will open the door for ISIS and other enemies to take us over from with-in, legally, without a shot fired. This is why we need to with-hold any voting on any Supreme Court Judge until after the election.

I'm taking a break, I'm tired.

I am bushed. If there is one thing I hate doing at work, it is twiddling my thumbs, because time goes by so much slower. That problem has been fixed for awhile. (I hope). I was so busy tonight I did not have time to think, but I had to. I not only delegated work, but had to fill in for co-workers who did not show up, train co-workers to do new things, do paperwork, answer the phone, and I know I walked twice the distance I normally walk (my feet feel like it!) -- and I love it!

My supervisor said I seemed a lot happier with my work now. I said, "I am. I am busy." LOL

I love a good challenge.

Now I am going to wind down and watch Supernatural and drink tea and rest my feet, and not do anything until time to go to sleep. Not even surf the web. I just don't want to tonight. I need a break, so I'm taking one.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Good night, World!

God's Got This...

Today, I learned that when you give it to God to take care of, He does. Sometimes we may not like HOW He takes care of things, but it isn't our job to do the how, so it isn't our business to wonder why things happen the way they do. We just have to keep in mind that, in the end, it's all for our own good, and ALL for HIS Glory.

I am going to bed praising God tonight, once again, for His blessings on me.

Good night, World!

P.S. When you learn to except where God has placed you, that is when God shows up, shows out, and moves you.

Psalm 37:
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Ending a Non-Constructive Day

Hello, World.

I was off work today and I look around right now and see that I have done not one thing today that was constructive.

I'm fixing to finish off the day by doing something less constructive, but enjoyable: watching Supernatural on Netflix.

Good night, World!
